About Me

My name is Siobhan Fitzgerald (I know, a good Irish name - thanks Dad - and pronounced Shivorn, in case you’re wondering).

I have a degree in English Literature and Philosophy. And I’m actually a trained librarian. I began my career working in a university library at the London School of Economics. After a couple of years, I jumped ship to a Business Library belonging to a management consultancy and then went on to set up knowledge resources for two brand design agencies - Design Bridge and Fitch.

That’s when I really got to grips with the nuts and bolts of brand communication. And the value of using knowledge and insight to help brand teams and designers understand consumers, markets and future opportunities. It’s also where I learnt about the importance of a brand’s tone of voice and the powerful role words can play in how a brand communicates. Writing was always there. I’ve always enjoyed playing around with words; I love the granular detail of creating written communication.

Here’s a few other random things about me. When I’m not writing, I’m reading. I read voraciously - literature, poetry, the odd marketing book, cookery books and gardening. When I’m neither reading or writing I’m running - slowly - or flexing my hamstrings on my yoga mat. I love coffee. I mean, I really love coffee. I drink tea at three. I have a daughter and a husband. I take photographs, compulsively. And yes, I’m afraid I have a cat. Don’t judge.

Siobhan understands a new area very quickly indeed and produced work of the highest quality. A pleasure to work with, the highest compliment I can pay is to say that I wouldn’t hesitate to use her services again and would recommend her to all.
